We are looking for a kind,caring person or couple who love animals as much as we do.
For us it's all about finding someone to care for our beloved labrador rather than caring for our home. (Although a tidy home to come home to would be much appreciated!)
We are embarking on a 4 week OE in Europe and would like to depart, secure in the knowledge that our 10 year old Labrador will be well looked after.
We would prefer someone who can juggle the balance between being at homer and out and about sightseeing.
Saying that, Abby is used to be left at home for half a day at a time but does enjoy company
Our golden Lab Abby requires a 40-60 min morning walk and a 30 min evening one (all weather) as well as feeding twice daily plus compulsory love & attention.
She's well trained and obedient so she's free range on the beach but she's an ambler rather than a speedster and every interesting smell must be investigated.
She needs eye medication twice a day but she's the perfect patient and accepts medication well
Cooks Beach is a small caring coastal/rural community on the eastern side of the Coromandel Peninsula, 2 hours from Auckland airport
Our home is just 3 houses back from the waters edge of this beautiful 3km sandy bay and 15mins drive from iconic Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach.
There's a 40 minute drive or 5 minute passenger ferry ride to take you to the town of Whitianga and all amenities-supermarket, shops, cafes, medical, vet, restaurants, banks, movie theatre.
Our single level house is a recently renovated and extended. The master bedroom has an ensuite with all modern amenities. WIFI available.
We require the applicant to be prepared to keep the house clean and tidy, mow the lawns maybe once while we're away and water house plants.
Winter isn't particularly cold but we do have a fireplace and heat pump.We can supply a car for local journeys - this is open to negotiations and circumstances.

Cooks Beach is a holiday destination and many families have holiday homes here, but the permanent population, outside holiday times is only around 450 last count.
There's a local General Store, hardware, restaurant within easy walking distance.
Bush walks, beach walks, a local winery, kayaking, bikes to ride.
