I have been house sitting now or over 10 years. I More often than not also Pet sit during these times. I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina and I have three active things that I have said for multiple time throughout the year. I have been working with these families for over 3 years now.
Recently in 2023 I began travel house sitting, I've been going for two weeks at a time to New York City to house sit.
Currently I house sit alongside my full-time nanny job. I stay in the home that I have sit for, I care for their pets, I collect mail, water, plants, run any additional errands or do any personal shopping that they need while I am on the clock. I leave for 4 hours windows to do my main job throughout the day.
I love animals, for my local stays, all of my house sit families have dogs, for my stays in New York City. I have been house sitting for cats simply because it needs me more time throughout the day to also explore the city, go visit family, etc.
I have traveled extensively globally and now that my nanny children are older and my job is coming to a close, I would love to find a long-term position in somewhere that I have lived previously. Preferably, I would love to find a long-term house sit and or B&B caretaker position in Hawaii, as a previously live in Kona, or in Switzerland as I previously lived in lausanne. I am definitely open to other locations, those would just be ideal as I am very familiar with the area and the culture.
I am not directly seeking out a pet sitting role, I would actually prefer to not have the responsibility of pets, but I am also 100% open to it as well.
Ideally I would love a position where I have my own separate accommodation. Whether it be a cottage or ohana where I can unpack and feel like I have my own space while also being responsible for the care of other dwellings and or pets.
