Enabling cookies on your Browser
To access Housecarers members area, you will need to set your browser to accept these:
Internet Explorer version 6 and above
Go to Internet Options > Tools > Privacy
Move the settings slider to Medium or Accept All Cookies, click OK.
Mozilla Firefox
Go to Tools > Options > Privacy
Tick "Accept cookies" from sites.
Safari
Choose Preferences from the Safari menu and click Security
Click “Always” or “Only from sites I visit”.
Chrome
Adjust cookie permissions
Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
Select Options (Preferences on Mac and Linux; Settings on a Chromebook).
Click the Under the Hood tab.
Click Content settings in the "Privacy" section.
Click the Cookies tab in the Content Settings dialog that appears:
If you want Google Chrome to automatically delete cookies when you close all browser windows, select the "Clear cookies and other site data when I close my browser" checkbox in the
Content Settings dialog. You can also make exceptions so that specific sites’ cookies are deleted whenever you close your browser.
Allow cookies by default
Make sure "Allow local data to be set" is selected to allow both first-party and third-party cookies. If you only want to accept first-party cookies, select the "Block all third-party cookies without exception" checkbox.
Make exceptions for cookies from specific websites or domains
Mobile Safari – iPhone
From the Home screen, choose Settings > Safari
Tap "Accept Cookies" and choose "From visited," or "Always."
Android
From the Home screen, tap Internet > Menu > Settings
Tap "Accept Cookies" and check to enable or uncheck to disable cookies
BlackBerry
From the Home screen, tap browser > Menu > Options
Under Privacy and Security tap "Accept Cookies" and check to enable or uncheck to disable cookies.
Why we use cookies
They're used in Housecarers membership area as part of the identification process to ensure that a secure session is commenced each time you sign into the service. The Housecarers web server will send a cookie to your browser each
time you sign in. This cookie will be used to determine that you are who you say you are and provide you with your confidential account information.
Please note: If you decide to adjust your settings to access
Housecarers, you should note down your settings prior to the change. That way, if you decide to 'not accept cookies' in the future, you will be able to change your browser back to the original settings.
