Beth was a great house sitter. We met in digital meetings beforehand and then stayed in contact throughout the house sit. We really liked that Beth was quick to write to us if there was anything she wasn't sure of. She also kept us updated on our cats.

When we came home, the house was in perfect condition and she even left us a welcome home present.

Tomas seems to be hopping from one housesit to the next, which means that he’s obviously very accustomed to traveling around and caring for other peoples pets. He is rather laid back about any problems arising (his arrival didn’t work out as planned, which seems to had him less stressed than me, and he didn’t let my two little angels/demons stress him too much^^). He’s constantly in contact and asking about anything that might come up and even went to the post office to collect a registered letter for me! My cats were cared for extremely well and even received some deep massages! So I can wholeheartedly recommend Tomas as a sitter, your animals will be very well cared for.

I had the pleasure of staying in Kalmar taking care of 3 mainly outdoor cats. Ulrika and Martin were marvelous hosts. When I arrived, the bedroom I was staying in had linens, different weight comforters and closet/drawer space for me. Their home looked like it came out of a magazine. The cats were busy enjoying their summer time weather outside. Sigrid and Soya would come and snuggle for a bit but Signe hurriedly ate and then ran back outside. It was a very pleasant stay and I would stay again. 

Patrick and Kathy took incredible care of our pets and plants!! Would love to have them back.

We were *delighted* to meet Kathy and Patrick and to have them stay in our home in July of 2023 for 9 days. Not only were they communicative before our trip (an initial video meeting to feel out fit followed by a phone call to go over details, which they suggested), but while we were away we received messages from them with pictures of our pets, care clarification questions, and general friendly hellos.

We felt complete trust in them which was affirmed and amplified when we got home — our house looked impeccably clean and our pets and plants were happy and well. Anyone would be lucky to score them for a future sit!

Wonderful experience in Portland

We stayed with Tilly and Emmylou while their family traveled to visit family. The house and neighborhood was very nice with lots of trees, local food sources (on of the best farmers market we've been to) and local trails. Rebekah and Jeannie mapped out interesting areas to visit as well as instructions on how to care for their animals and the maintenance of their home. Communication was clear and they were a pleasure to work with.

This was by far, the best housesit we have done. Rhonda and Billy are a wonderful couple and made us feel very comfortable. Their beautiful home has easy access to the downtown core, tourist attractions and the coast.  Sargent, their beautiful Springer Spaniel, loves his walks and was an easy dog to care for.  We would give this housesit a 5 Star rating!

Great suburban Detroit location

Nina provided helpful pet, house and locale info for our stay. In fact she printed out a thorough list of restaurants and fun things to do outside and in Detroit, which is a speedy 20+ minutes away. We had also collected materials from the Detroit welcome center on I-75. Jersey is a delightful terrier mix, easygoing and sweet.  She would get really frisky like a puppy when it was time to walk. The house was very comfortable, and the neighborhood delightful for walking. We easily filled up 2 weeks with new things to do, including museums, visiting downtown D and local Royal Oak, parks, the river, and nature preserves.

Duane and Sara looked after our home and three Bichon dogs for a month this summer.  They are a friendly, open and energetic couple, experienced with animals and newly retired after raising a large family. From the beginning, they answered our questions with thoughtful answers, and quickly responded to our emails.  Over early chats, we found common interests and it felt like welcoming old friends when they arrived.  Our communication while away was excellent; they emailed frequently and responded quickly to notes from us.  They not only took excellent care of our home, but during our time away, both did many small clean-up projects around the home, garden and pool. Sara kept our home spotless. We appreciated their common sense approach, attentiveness, and willingness to handle everything. Our dogs were calm, well fed, and lovingly looked after.  They obviously adored Duane and Sara and it showed in how settled they were on our return.  

This was our first experience with Housecarers, and we were naturally a little anxious about leaving for a long period of time.  We read many bios. After checking Duane and Sara's references, all extremely positive about their reliability and responsiveness, we felt very reassured  whille we were away. Personally, they are so friendly, charming and caring, we felt we've made some wonderful new friends. We have already asked them for a return trip next year, and can highly recommend them to watch your home and animals as you would yourself. They are real gems and we look forward to seeing them again!

Marina was a great host, and was extremeley prepared for a sit with very detailed instructions, and answered questions very timely, even due to our time difference. The apartment is very conveniently located close to a big mall, and public transportation across the street. The two cats, even though brothers, are fairly different temperamentally. But they are both very loving at times, and then sometimes little rascals. But never that bad, just playful. Bern is a very beautiful town with lots to do and see, and lots of restaurants. There are also two grocery stores that are actually attached to the apartments, so very convenient. The apartment is set up very efficiently, and was a pleasure to stay at. I would highly recommend doing a sit for Marina and Tirao and Loki.

John ans Eileen were incredible. We got to meet them the night before our trip, ans they were truly such a delight. They sent photos of our dog while we were gone and when we came home, my plants were healthier than when we left! They left everything so clean and shared some of their adventures they went on during their stay. Great couple!

Dan's cottage is in a great location in Boulder, and was a very comfortable place to stay. His instructions were very good, as far as cat and house instructions. It did cause a bit of stress, with Olive (the cat) being outside somewhere unknown when we arrived, especially as it started to rain and get dark. Dan was helpful and supportive through this situation. After that first night, Olive went out and returned to the cottage, as Dan said was her normal behavior. 

We enjoyed our stay, and loved the proximity to the creek and downtown Boulder, as well as close to hiking. Thanks for the opportunity!

Beth and James did a superb job house sitting when I was away.  Upon arrival, they were notified that Olive, my cat, did not come home for the day (a first for her, in an area full of predators).  They spent hours helping search and calling for her, as well as responding to my texts and phone calls.  They cracked the bedroom window to hear Olive arriving back home at 5:30am in the morning! 

When they left, they let me know when they were leaving, how they left Olive, washed the sheets and made the bed.  They left the home in better condition than when they arrived!  They exceeded all expectations. A+.

Owen was such an interesting person.

Owen was always very good about keeping in touch with me. We decided to help each other with this house sit months b/4 I was to leave and Owen contacted me a few times before to check in that all was going as planned. He would send texts and photos of Buki and let me know how things were going while I was honey . It's been a very Hot Summer and Owen was great about watering my outdoor plants and my home was in great shape when I arrived home. 
Such and interesting individual! A Master Yoga teacher, has traveled to 56 countries, into real estate and holistic health. So much fun listening to his experiences. He has a wonderful calm voice which I'm sure was appreciated by my enthusiastic dog. Love to have Owen back again!

Lovely and Capable - Five Stars!

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our housesitters Chris and Ian. They were wonderful in every way. They took excellent care of our dog Sargent, a seven year old Springer Spaniel, and our home and garden, leaving it in immaculate condition. We will most certainly have them back and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for the most personable and capable of housesitters!

Salida is an awesome place with a small town vibe that makes it fun and energizing.  Everything is within a short distance whether you're driving or walking.  The trails and outdoor opportunities are endless and there is great dining, shopping and recreation all over the area.  Day trips are in every direction, taking advantage of the superb location.  That being said, the host is unparalled in her hospitality, charm and character and this is certainly a part of her home.   The space resonates with the sort of clear energy that makes a stay a retreat as well.  Buki is a loving compassasionate companion.  Always ready for a walk, some ball or frisbee, or playtime in the river he will keep you moving!  Otherwise he's happy to just be with you in your space.  I'm looking forward to returning!  

Terrific housesit

We spent 2 wonderful months at John and Gen's house. They welcomed us like old friend and we shared some delicious meals together.  

Before they left on their trip they showed us all around the property and explained everything in detail. 

We met Mork and Mindy and bonded with them right away. They are extremely well behaved and a delight to look after. We got our exercise walking them in the bog every morning. 

The hens provided us with fresh eggs daily. 

John and Gen were kind enough to let us have the use of their car and left us with lots of brochures of local attractions.

We would highly recommend John and Gen's house in this lovely rural part of Ireland. There is an excellent view from the house and you'll get to enjoy some lovely night skies.

Amazing Maine Coon Cats!

Two maine coon cats were a delight to care for in this beautiful modern home right on the water. Friendly fur babies! So fun watching the ferries and other boats pass by while sitting in a warm and toasty home during the winter. Very quiet neighborhood, walk along the beach, close enough to town. It was a joy pet sitting for Kay, she was always available if needed and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend pet sitting these 2 special cats!

Wonderful house sit!

What a lovely sit, the 2 story home is amazing, filled with wonderful artwork, like being in a mini museum!  Beautiful flower gardens and right across the street from Green Lake. Jyl and Chris were very supportive and communication was easy. I hope to sit for them again sometime!

We spent almost three months at the finca and had a wonderful time. Tanya and Sean made our first housesitting experience very special. They have been open, honest and above all friendly and understanding of our wishes and needs, since one of us also worked remotely half the time.

We can recommend this housesit to everyone who enjoys the company of cute cats, likes to keep busy, but at the same time wants some quiet time in the beautiful region around Vejer and Barbate.

Our to-dos ranged from caring for the cats to watering the plants and maintaining the open spaces. There’s always more to do and it is possible to get creative and work on different projects on the finca, but mostly it is up to you how to spend your time. Any help is always appreciated but there is never any pressure and you are always encouraged to enjoy your day, too. We thought that was really fair.

Thank you Tanya and Sean for having us. We will make sure to stop by when we are in the area again :) 

Excellent experience!!

It was obvious Cindy has been doing this awhile, she asked all the necessary questions and seemed very at ease. Cindy struck me as a very respectful and responsible person. She took excellent care of my 2 dogs, one cat,  my plants and my home.  She kept up with my pets rotating raw food diet/supplement, etc. She really seemed to understand the different personalities and needs of each one. I also really appreciated the photos she periodically sent me, when I texted to check on them she answered promptly. I would love to have her housesit for me anytime!

Greg looked after our property for two months.

Greg was mostly required to look after our garden during our 2 month absence.  He stayed on the property in his own motorhome, but had access to the house if needed and to the large shed so he could do some work for himself. 

We had requested the lawn to be mown, plants (including a large number of potted plants) to be watered and to keep a general eye on the property.  We'd also requested to run our motorhome and car at intervals to prevent the batteries from going flat. 

All good.  The plants (except for the one that we knew was dying before we left) looked healthy after 2 very dry months and our orchids were happily flowering.

Greg also offered to pick us up at the airport, which was much appreciated.

Excellence indeed!

A great big thank you to Joy and Noel for looking so well after our home, 2 dogs and hens for 2 months.

The dogs loved them. They took them every day for their favourite walk/ run through the bog, regardless of the irish weather, which can be harsh someday...

They also look after the garden, mowing the lawns which kept growing fast at this time of year.  Nothing was too much for them, they didn't hesitate to go the extra mile to do anything they thought would be needed or helpful, such as some maintenance repairs on the ride-on lawnmower , or cleaning the kitchen presses! 

They were exceptionally good at keeping in touch during the 2 months we were abroad,  sending WhatsApp messages nearly every other day, and a phone call from time to time. 

On the day of our return,  they had a full and delicious dinner ready for us, and not to mention how spotless the house was!

Joy and Noel certainly provided excellence and we recommend them 200% if possible! We are keeping in touch and hope to welcome them back in a near future.

Great house/cat sitter

Lynne looked after my two cats and house for 10 days and did a great job. My male cat is usually scared of new people but he took to Lynne straightaway. She was a good communicator, keeping in touch by WhatsApp. The house was left very tidy and she even washed bedding and towels before departure and left flowers! The neighbours said she was quiet and helpfully took in a parcel for one of them. I would happily have Lynne stay in my house again and would recommend her to others.

Missy just would NOT go out in the rain, and DJ just wanted to eat all the time!  Both were loving and slept on my bed.  It's a pretty, historic village and just a short way from Winchester which is full of interest.  Communication was easy, and the neighbours were friendly!  A great sit, thanks.

We have been welcoming a wide range of housesitters from around the world for the past 17 years, with Judith and Dominik being one of the best we have ever welcomed to the the finca.

Not only did they very ably managed all the tasks we had asked of them including feeding our cats and their amazing care of three poorly kittens that appeared (we are a rural farming community), but they were excellent in general property care of the finca itself including houses and pool areas - with much appreciated ideas suggested for repairs and efficiency.  Even with their own work commitments, they were always willing to help out above and beyond – we even offered them a job!

We cannot recommend Judith and Dominik highly enough for any type of housesit that they might choose to apply for in future, including single home or general property management, hosting guests, general DIY and maintenance and care of animals – they are extremely hardworking, competent, considerate, trustworthy and friendly people!  We do hope they will find time in future to visit us again, but in the meantime wish them happiness and success in whatever adventures they decide on next!    ¡Mil gracias!

Highly recommend-fun housesit!

This was a really fun housesit. You'll fall in love with their two golden doodles, Scout and Hudson. They are so sweet and funny. It was a joy to keep them. Ruth and Jake's house is adorable--wonderful view of Seattle from the back deck.  Freemont is a safe section of Seattle as well so no worries there. The charming Craftsman home is comfortable and right out of the pages of a decorating magazine.  I highly recommend this housesit and want to go back when it works with my schedule.

Chad and Jennifer's home was the perfect combination of a private, rural feel that's close to town. Their cat is a lover boy who is a real character and his owners--first time housesit users--were thorough with instructions, amicable and generous, and stayed in frequent communication throughout their cross-country drive. Jennifer has a huge, light-filled art studio and the home is a clean and pleasant place to stay. There are some great state parks in the local area, as well as a good local dairy, and Dayton is only half an hour away. Highly recommended...I just hope they ask me first, lol. 

Lovely Housesit with Lucy

I had a great time hanging out with their dog, Lucy, at this housesit. We went for lovely walks along a river park nearby, played catch often in the backyard (she's very skilled and so intelligent), and had some good laughs - she's very funny too. 

The property is lovely and well-maintained with a comfy bed with black-out curtains. Grocery stores and other amenities are close by. The owners were conscientious, kind, and well-prepared. They provided a dedicated area where I could look out at the beautiful trees when I was working. Great walking trails, and parks - and the community/neighbors were friendly and welcoming too. So many dog walkers around. I was also able to use a bike to get some additional exercise, which I really appreciated. 

The housesit was perfect for me and I had a great time. I would definitely housesit for them again!
